Curriculum


Curriculum may be deemed as "all the guided experiences of the child under the direction of the school".  It includes the content of courses of study.  It embraces the development of the whole child.
The school will assist the child in forming the right understandings, attutudes, and habits, not only with subject matter areas, but also in every school experience. A listing of the curricular standards and expectations for each grade is available in the office and will be given out by teachers at " Back to School" night.

Award Assemblies:

The school hosts assemblies monthly for Special Notice of Recognition awards, also there is an awards assembly at the end of each trimester or 12 week grading period.  The purpose of the awards assembly is to give special notice to individual students who have done well during the past 12 week period. Generally the students honored are those on the honor roll.  It can happen that other special awards may be given at that time.  All assemblies will be announced in advance and parents are welcome to attend.



Schoolwide Learning Expectations:

The Schoolwide Learning Expectations (SLE) flow from and are anchored in the school's philosophy and Mission Statement. Precious Blood School students are expected to become:
