Precious Blood School traces its roots more than one-hundred years to the beginning of St. Boniface Indian Mission established in 1890. The Mission was built by the Catholic Indian Bureau. From the beginning it was staffed by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Corondelet.
For the first 25 years of its existence, it was under the direction of Father Florian Hahn, a Precious Blood Father, from Germany. For many years, St. Boniface was the only Catholic boarding school for Indians in California.
A parochial school in Banning, Precious Blood, was erected in 1953 with Sister Agnes Francis in charge, classes at the Mission were discontinued. The Sisters of St. Joseph transferred their efforts to the parish school, and moved to the parish convent in 1956.
Precious Blood School has over 50 years of commitment to a quality Catholic education. We are an educational ministry of Blessed Kateri Parish ( formerly known as Precious Blood Parish), also serving other parishes in the San Gorgonio Pass Area. Clergy, administration, faculty, and staff work in cooperation with parents and students to impact the message of hope. Students are taught Catholic traditions which include worship, the desire to serve others, and to celebrate diversity.

In partnership with our families, we strive to communicate learning as a life-long process, tempered by discipline, balanced by social and physical activities and guided by the values of our faith. Students are challenged to achieve their academic potential and become good citizens who are either wise leaders or responsible followers.
Our purpose as a Catholic school is to prepare and support students as they become problem-solvers and competent citizens in the twenty-first century.
